Columbia Threadneedle Investments has added a senior equity analyst to its EMEA central equity research team.
Anne Marie Fleurbaaij has joined the firm from GIC (London) Private, the asset manager for Singapore’s foreign reserves, where she spent 12 years focusing on consumer equity investments.
At Columbia Threadneedle, Fleurbaaij, who has 20 years’ experience as an equity analyst and portfolio manager, will cover UK and European consumer companies.
Before joining GIC she spent seven years at Morgan Stanley covering pan-European consumer companies.
Fleurbaaij joins more than 180 investment analysts and research associates in the central research equity team which contributes research for the firm’s fund managers. The team was established to reduce reliance on external research in the post-Mifid II world.
Over the past 12 months Columbia Threadneedle has hired four analysts for this team, including Roger Wilkinson who was recently appointed head of EMEA equity research.
Columbia Threadneedle CIO, EMEA and global head of equities William Davies said: “Anne Marie is an experienced career analyst and will undoubtedly help us attain deeper knowledge of consumer companies in the UK and Europe.”
