Columbia Threadneedle head of EMEA wholesale distribution exits after 14 years

Columbia Threadneedle’s head of wholesale distribution for EMEA and Latin America is leaving the firm after 14 years, Portfolio Adviser has learned.

A spokesperson for the firm confirmed Gary Collins, who is also interim head of distribution, had decided to resign from Columbia Threadneedle. His last day with the firm will be on 26 June.

They added: “We thank Gary for his considerable contribution to the firm and to our clients over almost 15 years and wish him well for the future.”

Collins joined the company as head of UK retail business in 2006 before moving into his current role in April 2013.

Before joining Columbia Threadneedle, he was director of UK retail business sales at Mercury Asset Management, which was bought by Merrill Lynch in 1997 before being absorbed by Blackrock in 2006.
