Cohen & Steers has promoted senior director of Emea wholesale distribution Sean Cooney (pictured) to the newly-created role of head of UK wealth.
Cooney joined the firm from Gam Investments in May 2021, where he was a client director for UK wholesale distribution.
With 20 years in industry, he has also held roles at Neptune and Aviva Investors.
Cohen & Steers said the appointment reflects the continued growth of its UK client base amid increased demand from investors for inflation protection.
David Conway, head of international wholesale distribution, said: “Cohen & Steers has invested considerable resources in the UK wholesale channel, significantly increasing accessibility of our strategies in a market that has seen a surge in demand for listed real assets and alternative income.
