Meanwhile, Alec Slater has been appointed head of alternatives, Matthew Stanesby as head of collectives, and Weixu Yan as head of passives.
Slater has been at the firm for two years, joining from Schroders as an alternative investment analyst in 2021. Meanwhile, head of collectives Stanesby, who heads the firm’s manager research team, has been at the firm for almost 17 years.
Yan, who is ETF research head, joined CBAM in 2010.
Each of them will report to CIO Robert Alster, who said: “By appointing a number of our fund managers as heads and thought leaders of the asset classes we invest in, we are ensuring that the investments of all investment managers within the firm are more closely aligned with our research capability. This will also strengthen our strategic approach to each asset class, and lead to better results for our clients.”
