Minio-Paluello, who left Citigroup in February, will start her new job next week and will report to CIO Jan Straatman, who joined the firm in December 2011.

The new recruit spent 18 months at Citigroup, where she was head of EMEA for equity and private investors. Prior to this she worked at Goldman Sachs for 11 years, where roles included managing director of quantitative investment strategies.

Minio-Paluello replaces previous deputy CIO, Stephane Monier, who has recently been appointed as the inaugural head of investment for LOIM’s European private client business.

Monier is now responsible for developing the firm’s private client offering across the European markets.

Earlier in the year LOIM announced it was merging its global and emerging bond teams due to increased correlations in performance across sovereign debt markets. In April, Grant Peterkin, formerly of Ignis, joined the restructured, Geneva-based LOIM fixed income team.
