Cooban joins Charles Stanley having spent 16 years at Quilter Cheviot. With 25 years’ experience in the investment management industry, he specialises in bespoke management of equity portfolios, self-invested personal pensions (Sipps), offshore bonds and charity accounts.

Meanwhile, Nathoo was poached from Thesis Asset Management where she spent 16 years, most recently as client director.

Previously, she worked for Daniels Holt as a founding partner in the business and her career spans 28 years in total.

Gary Teper, head of investment management, said the two hires understood the firm’s “traditional values and modern approach”.

He added: “In an increasingly competitive market place, it is crucial that we invest in skilled staff who can translate our clients’ complex financial needs and goals into positive results.”
