Charles Stanley has poached Gavin Wiggans from Brown Shipley to be a business development director in the North.
Wiggans spent the last six years at Brown Shipley, looking after the business development strategy for its Manchester office.
At Charles Stanley he will also be based in Manchester where he will work closely with solicitors, accountants, trust specialists and corporate financiers to promote the wealth manager’s range of products and services. He will also collaborate with Charles Stanley’s team of investment specialists to support its growth in this area.
Charles Stanley group head of sales Sean Osborne said Wiggans’ “impressive performance history of creating and implementing strong business development strategy, alongside his record of building trust both internally and externally, will be instrumental to Charles Stanley’s business development and growth in the North”.
Prior to Brown Shipley Wiggans worked for Standard Life where he worked with key firms to move their business to a fee-based model.
Charles Stanley announced last month it would be acquired by Raymond James for £279m.
