Boutique fund firm CG Asset Management has announced it will launch a UK index-linked bond fund on 15 November.
The fund, an Ireland-domiciled UCITS, will be called the CG Portfolio Plc – UK Index-linked Bond fund. Details on the fund’s specific process, its charges and who will run the mandate are yet to be released, although Portfolio Adviser has asked the firm to provide further details.

CGAM, which was launched in 2001, currently manages £2.4bn of index-linked bonds across eight jurisdictions, with £500m currently in UK linkers. The firm runs five portfolios, including the £1.1bn Capital Gearing Trust, as well as the open-ended CG Capital Gearing Portfolio, CG Absolute Return, Real Return and Dollar funds.
Chris Clothier, co-chief investment officer, said: “We have been investing in UK index-linked [bonds] for 30 years. We think that UK index linked now offer a great opportunity and so we’ve decided to launch a dedicated fund. This will be our first new launch in seven years, and it reflects our belief that index-linked bonds are among the most attractively priced assets globally.”
