Carmignac has made a double hire from Schroder Investment Management and Goji Investments for its Oeic funds sales expansion.
David Beacham and Edward Aram-Dixon will join the UK business development team where they will be responsible for peddling Carmignac’s newly launched UK-domiciled funds to UK and European investors, a press release said.
Aram-Dixon (pictured) joins from Schroders where he worked for four years in the strategic accounts sales unit within UK intermediary sales, following six years at publisher Citywire, where he was responsible for ratings and research sales globally.
Chelsea Financial Services managing director Darius McDermott said he knew Aram-Dixon through his role looking after fund ratings businesses as part of his job at Schroders. “I feel he will raise their profile in the ratings arena.”
Elsewhere, Beacham joins from Goji Investments, where he was head of distribution. Prior to that he was a business development director at Just Retirement.
At Carmignac, he will take on the dual roles of business development director and head of regional sales, while Aram-Dixon joins as business development director. Both will report to David Robson, head of UK retail.
Robson welcomed the pair’s experience in fund sales, particularly among the UK intermediary market, as the French asset manager looks to increase its commitment to the UK.
