Ney, who has been with Carmignac Gestion for eight years, starts in his new role today and will continue to oversee Carmignac Gestion’s global credit exposure and credit analyst team in his head of credit role.
Carmignac Gestion said it had recently strengthened its fixed income expertise with the hiring of Pierre Verlé as a credit analyst, who brought with him more than seven years’ experience in high yield bonds, loans and distressed special situations.
After starting as a global analyst himself, Ney co-managed the Carmignac Market Neutral fund before being promoted to head of credit.
Carmignac Sécurité was launched in 1989 its accumulated returns over 10 years are 45.96% compared with 37.83% from the sector average, but over one year it is fourth quartile returning 5.24% versus 9.24% from the sector (as at 31 December).
