Candriam has named David Morley as head of UK distribution.

Morley will be responsible for leading and developing the firm’s UK distribution business across institutional, wholesale and retail markets supported by a team of four.

He joins from Eaton Vance Investment Managers where he was country head since 2015. Before that, he worked at Lombard Odier Investment Managers as head of institutional sales and at Henderson Global Investors as director of institutional business for the UK.

Morley will be based in London and report to Candriam chief sales and distribution officer Renato Guerriero.

He replaces Derek Brander who has decided to leave Candriam to pursue other opportunities. Candriam said it wished Brander every success and thanked him for his contribution.

Guerriero said: “We are delighted to welcome David to the Candriam team. We are confident that his experience in distribution management will help strengthen our position in the UK market, particularly at a time of increased demand for sustainable investments.”

Candriam’s sustainable products represented €88bn of its €130bn (£114bn) of total assets under management as of March 2021.
