The firm said that 7 new advisers, 12 support staff and £540m of client assets had now moved over to its Spinningfields, Hardman Street office.

The buyout, for an undisclosed sum, is one of a series carried out by Brown Shipley and its Europewide private banking group owner KBL recently.

In a statement published this morning, Brown Shipley said the acquisition of The Roberts Partnership was part of a strategy of offering greater services to clients, particularly wealth planning.

Ian Sackfield, Chief Executive Officer at Brown Shipley, said: “The addition of such a high calibre group of financial planners means we are able to serve a greater number of clients and to draw upon even more expertise.

“Alongside our other five offices, the move also further cements our position as one of the leading full service wealth managers in the North West.”
