Brown Shipley has promoted Rebecca Williams to head of wealth planning, effective immediately.
Williams (pictured) joined the Quintet private bank in 2015, where she was most recently client director. She is a chartered and certified financial planner, chartered fellow of the securities institute and STEP member
Roger Clark, group head of wealth planning at Quintet, said: “Rebecca has played a key role in the development of the wealth planning team and the overall wealth planning proposition at Brown Shipley. She has supported me in the management and leadership of the UK wealth planning business over the last couple of years whilst also leading the wealth planning team in London.”
“Rebecca’s promotion recognises these achievements and also demonstrates our focus on growing talent within the business. We will continue to work closely together in the coming months as she transitions to her new role.”
Brown Shipley made a number of hires in 2020, including poaching Elizabeth Weir from UBS to become head of its London and international operation. It also nabbed four hires from Julius Baer, most recently Gordon Scott who stepped into the newly-created role of head of strategic partnerships and entrepreneurs network.
It has already made a number of hires this year, including Philipp Iarmaltchouk, another Julius Baer hire, ex-Gam client director Rupert Cecil and Sam Fearon from HSBC Private Bank.
