Brown Advisory has hired Yacine El-Mohri and Eriko Miyazaki-Ross (pictured) into its global sustainable fixed income team.

The pair of analysts will be based in its London office, and the firm expects them to add expertise to its team of fixed income, equity fundamental, and ESG analysts.

El-Mohri joins as a global financials credit research analyst, having spent nearly three years at BNP Paribas on its financials credit trading desk. During his time there, he was responsible for making investment and trade recommendations for European banks and insurers.

Miyazaki-Ross will focus on emerging markets credit in her research analyst role, having been hired from investment boutique Global Evolution. There, she was responsible for managing portfolios and overseeing the corporate credit investment committee.

She has also held analyst roles at Barclays in New York and London.

The appointments follow the launch of Brown Advisory’s Global Sustainable Total Return Bond strategy in February this year, which is managed by Ryan Myerberg in London, and Chris Diaz and Colby Stilson in the US.

Logie Fitzwilliams, head of international business and global head of sales at Brown Advisory, said: “Yacine and Eriko bring with them a wealth of analytical experience from well recognised institutions, and it is clear their expertise will add yet further depth to our already accomplished and growing fixed income proposition which is seeing strong client demand.”

Ryan Myerberg, partner and portfolio manager, global sustainable fixed income at the firm, said: “Financial markets have been challenged in terms of correlations, volatility and valuation, with the economy in a classic “late cycle” state that demands a defensive posture and a focus on preserving capital.”

He adds: “We’re excited about the opportunities being presented to us in global fixed income, and Yacine and Eriko will be key contributors to our team in our continued quest to produce best-in-class returns for our investors.”
