The team set to leave the business is composed of Chris Robinson, Ebru Smith, James Humphreys and Dean Cook.

Brewin announced it had struck a deal to acquire Duncan Lawrie AM on 19 December, bringing in £735m in assets and over 1000 clients. The takeover, due to complete in Q1 this year, takes Brewin Dolphin’s total assets to £36.1bn.

A number of Duncan Lawrie employees are being moved over to Brewin Dolphin’s London and Bristol offices and being integrated into the business, but the research team is not among them.

Brewin Dolphin has its own research team already in place of course, featuring Guy Foster and Ben Gutteridge among others.
