BNY Mellon, which oversees almost $50trn of assets across more than 100 markets, has simplified its brand to ‘BNY’ and updated its company logo.

While the company’s name will remain The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation, its logo will use a “more modern font” and a “distinctive teal colour scheme for its arrow”, according to a company spokesperson.

Under the new company umbrella brand, BNY Mellon Investment Management will become BNY Investments, which aims to represent the firm’s distribution and advisory services “beyond managing assets” that it provides to clients.

Elsewhere, BNY Mellon Wealth Management will become BNY Wealth, while BNY Mellon Pershing will become BNY Pershing. While the brand updates will be rolled out immediately, updates are set to continue over the next 12 months.

In a LinkedIn post published yesterday (11 June), BNY said the updated brand “highlights our evolution from America’s oldest bank to a global financial services leader”.

“We’re proud to have advanced the future of finance through a series of firsts, driving the industry forward while remaining resilient through change,” it said. “We have a 240-year track record, but we are focused on the days ahead. No matter what the future brings, we’ll be ready, and we’ll be working as one BNY.”
