Active in his new role from 16 June, Joyce will work under BNP’s Multi Asset Solutions chief investment officer Colin Graham, within the firm’s Active Asset Allocation team.

Having joined from a multi-asset fund manager berth at Schroders Investment Management, Joyce arrives as part of BNP’s drive to expand its multi-asset capability in an environment of heightened volatility and unattractive yields.

Charles Janssen, head of BNP’s Multi Asset Solutions group, said: “Demand for multi asset products continues to grow in line with the increasing need for retirement solutions among retail and institutional investors and this is a key part of BNP Paribas Investment Partners’ investment offering.

“Given the ongoing environment of market uncertainty and low yields, we expect continued growing demand as investors look to outsource their asset allocation to meet their growth or income requirements.”

Joyce brings 12 years’ experience in long-only and long/short investment strategies to firm, gained during stints with Schroders, Occam Asset Management and Polar Capital.
