BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has appointed Nadia Grant as its new head of global equities.
Grant (pictured) will oversee BNPP AM’s global equity outfit across Paris and London, where she herself will be based. She joins the business on 4 April and will report to Fundamental Active Equities CIO Guy Davies.
Grant has 22 years’ experience under her belt, having worked for JP Morgan Asset Management for over a decade in various portfolio management roles and Columbia Threadneedle as its Emea-based US equities boss. She joins BNPP AM after a brief stint at Capital Group.
Global head of investments Rob Gambi said Grant’s expertise in fundamental stock picking, behavioural finance and proven track record in asset allocation would strengthen the management team.
BNPP AM has also promoted Davies to deputy head of investments effective immediately. Together with Gambi, he will lead BNPP AM’s investment platform, alongside his existing duties as CIO of the thematics team. The pair will also carry out the firm’s “ambitious” growth plans.
Gambi said: “Guy has a strong commercial focus and has demonstrated excellent leadership in managing change within our Fundamental Active Equities business, as well as exhibiting and promoting the cultural and ethical behaviours we expect at BNPP.”
Last year BNPP AM hired another Columbia Threadneedle alumnus Maya Bhandari as its global multi-asset boss.
