Spillane will be responsible for generating qualitative input into the currency overlay process for the firm’s local currency strategies.
He will have a particular focus on the Emerging Markets Local Currency Bond Fund and the Aviva Investors II Emerging Markets Inflation Linked Bond Fund. The former has £835.7m under management respectively, and its performance over the past year is shown in the graph below.
