Webster joins BMO as a portfolio manager after over a decade with Aberdeen Asset Management, serving most recently as a senior investment manager in the Pan-European equities team.
He will provide support across BMO’s Pan-European fund range, which includes the F&C European Equity Fund and F&C European Growth & Income Fund, to name a few.
Webster will report to David Moss, head of BMO’s European equities division, who oversees approximately £3.5bn worth of assets.
Moss endorsed Webster’s “excellent performance track record in Pan-European Equities” in a statement made Friday.
“The European Equities team focuses on researching and investing in high quality businesses, with a strong management team at an attractive price. Phil will be an excellent addition to our team helping to identify such companies and therefore ensuring we continue to deliver on the investment needs and expectations of our clients.”
