BMO Global AM’s Wilson takes on CIO role

BMO Global Asset Management’s chief executive Richard Wilson is now the company’s chief investment officer as well.

Wilson was appointed CEO of F&C in January 2013, becoming CEO of BMO Global AM as a result of the Canadian firm’s takeover of F&C.  

Wilson has held a number of senior positions at F&C including head of equities and head of investment and institutional before getting the nod to become CEO.

He began his asset management career in 1988 as a UK equity manager with HSBC Asset Management then in 1993 moved to Deutsche Asset Management. From there, he joined Gartmore Investment Management in 2003, then on to F&C in 2004.
