Simon Jagger will take up the role at the firm’s London office from the January 2016, as Barings seeks to cement its domestic presence.
Reporting to Rod Aldridge, Barings’ head of EMEA Wholesale Distribution, Jagger will draw on 19 years of industry experience as he works to build and maintain client relationships.
“I am very pleased to welcome Jagger to Barings as we continue to invest in our wholesale distribution team,” said Aldridge. “His appointment is a clear indication of our commitment to the UK wholesale market.”
Jagger arrives from Schroder Investment Management where he has spent his entire career in financial services so far, moving up the sales ladder since 1996 in both London and Asia-based roles.
