Of the total AUM, £13.3bn is held by Architas, AXA Wealth’s specialist investment business with another £5.1bn in other investment and pension funds.
The remaining £6.4bn is held by the company’s wrap platform Elevate, which represents a 31% year-on-year increase in its AUM.
AXA Wealth’s total retail sales were up four per cent to £1.6 billion.
"We’ve managed to deliver another strong performance across the business,” said Mike Kellard, AXA Wealth CEO. “There is however still a lot to do if we are truly going to help more people save and invest for the long-term and make the experience as straightforward as we can,” he added.
Kellard noted that AXA’s own research shows that as an industry the financial sector still has a lot to do to convince people of the need to save.
