Isabelle Scemama has been appointed CEO of the investment firm’s real assets arm, while Heidi Ridley has been appointed CEO of the Rosenberg Equities department with both taking up their posts on 1 March.
Scemama replaces long-time CEO Pierre Vaquier who is leaving the company to “pursue other interests”, AXA IM said on Thursday, she was previously CEO of AXA REIM SGP, the French arms of the Real Assets department, and responsible for a range of real estate funds.
Ridley replaces Jeremey Baskin, who is also leaving the company, as CEO after five years as global COO and chief of staff for AXA IM.
The pair will report to Andrea Rossi, CEO of AXA IM, who said: “I am very pleased to welcome Isabelle and Heidi to the AXA IM Management Board and have every confidence that they will work to ensure a smooth transition for our clients. Kathleen Houssels is AXA IM’s third new appointment and will take up a role as CIO at the Rosenberg Equities branch of the firm reporting to CEO Ridley.
Houssels was previously head of research and investment models at the firm.
Baskin will remain in an advisory capacity for several months.
