Dhar, who joined in 2010 as senior economist in the investment strategy team, will be pursuing an opportunity outside fund management, a spokesperson for Aviva said.
Peter Fitzgerald, head of multi-asset investing, continues to head up the strategy team.
Formerly at Fathom Financial Consulting, which he co-founded in 2004, Dhar was responsible for formulating the strategic direction of the company and for macroeconomic and financial market analysis and research.
At Aviva, he was responsible for driving economic research and forecasting for the Asia-Pacific region, as well as helping the team to conduct research-specific trade opportunities based on economic analysis
