Aviva Investors has made Stephanie Niven a named manager on the Global Equity Endurance Fund.
Niven joined Aviva Investors as a portfolio manager in the global equities team in October 2018 from the in-house fund manager of the Tesco pension scheme.
In her new role she will work alongside Giles Parkinson, manager of the fund since its launch in November 2016. She reports to Mikhail Zverev, head of global equities.
Since inception, the £914m Luxembourg-domiciled Sicav has returned 35% and has been top quartile, according to data from FE.
Niven spent six years at Tesco Pension Investment and before that, worked at Javelin Capital and Goldman Sachs.
Zverev said: “The Global Equity Endurance strategy has delivered strong performance since launch and is a key part of our global equities range. Giles and Stephanie form an experienced and talented management team at an exciting time for the product as it approaches its three-year track record and £1bn AUM. I am confident they will go from strength to strength.”
Aviva Investors has hired 15 investment professionals to its equities team since January 2018 when David Cumming joined as chief investment officer from Aberdeen Standard Investments.
