Aviva Investors has nabbed Emma Halley from Fulcrum Asset Management for a new role in its target return team.
Halley joins as head of investment process for multi-asset and macro and will be responsible for generating ideas across Aviva Investor’s multi-asset portfolios, focusing particularly on its Multi-Strategy (AIMS) range.
Based in the firm’s London office, she will report to the team’s CIO Peter Fitzgerald (pictured).
At Fulcrum Halley worked as head of portfolio management where she managed $4.5bn in absolute return assets for a nine month stint. Before that she was a portfolio manager in the absolute return team.
She also spent four years in Schroders global fixed income team.
Commenting on Halley’s appointment Fitzgerald said her “strong idea generation” would help the multi asset team in the next phase of its development.
“Her appointment follows the changes we made to our investment platform last year, establishing a combined multi-asset and macro function and materially increasing our equity capabilities. We believe we are now starting to see the benefit of the improved idea generation that has resulted from this across the portfolios.”
