Head of sterling investment grade credit John Hampton, senior corporate bond manager Sandeep Bhatia, senior fixed income Asia manager Tim Jagger and global fixed income manager Anthony David are among those departing.

An Aviva Investors spokesperson confirmed the departures and added: “Aviva Investors has made a significant investment in talent over the past couple of years and will continue to add resources to its key areas of focus.”

It has not been one-way traffic he explained, with recent arrivals including senior economist and strategist Mick Grady, global equity managers Giles Parkinson and Helen Driver, James McAlevey as a multi-strategy fixed income manager, John Dewey as head of investment strategy for the global investment solutions business and Sean McLachlan, who joined the infrastructure business in February.

The spokesperson also noted that Aviva has increased its overall headcount significantly over the past 15 months, beginning 2015 at around 1000 and currently sitting near 1300.
