Clayton was appointed chief financial officer on 17 December, while Craston will join as global head of business development on 14 January. Both will be based in London as part of Aviva Investors’ executive team.
They will report to CEO Euan Munro. Clayton will also report to Tom Stoddard, group chief financial officer at Aviva Plc. He will be responsible for reporting, capital and performance. With more than 30 years’ experience in the financial sector, Clayton previously held senior roles at Standard Life and PwC.
Craston will oversee global business development activities including client solutions, client service, product and market intelligence as well as marketing and external communications. He joins from Legal & General Investment Management, where he led global distribution and client servicing and served as CEO for both its America and Asia businesses.
“Our goal is to be the global leader in outcome-oriented solutions, and to that end we plan to build on the successful launch of our AIMS multi-strategy funds with further products that aim to meet the objectives of today’s investor,” said Euan Munro.
