Aviva Investors has bolstered its multi-asset team with the appointment of Dean Cook and Harriet Ballard as portfolio managers.

Cook arrives at the firm after six years at M&G, where he was most recently a multi-asset portfolio analyst.

Meanwhile, Ballard (pictured) joins the multi-asset branch of Aviva from the asset manager’s investment strategy team, where she contributed to the portfolio idea generation process.

She also previously held a role as a multi-asset strategist at macro hedge fund Comac Capital.

Sunil Krishnan, Aviva Investors head of multi-asset funds, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Dean and Harriet to the team. They have strong backgrounds in analysing macro trends and generating ideas, as well as deep knowledge of the portfolio construction process. I am certain their experience and skills will be highly valuable to the team as we continue to grow our presence in the multi-asset space in the UK.”
