Parascandalo moves over from his role as lead manager of the Aviva with Profits Fund.

The investment wing of the insurance group has also promoted multi-asset team member Thomas Wells to fund manager from assistant fund manager.

Aviva’s head of multi-asset Peter Fitzgerald and Nick Samouilhan are already in place as fund managers for the range.

“The joint UK and Irish multi-asset fund range is now close to £2 billion and is seeing substantial growth,” said Fitzgerald. “The addition of Thomas and Paul as fund managers reaffirms our commitment to these funds and will help to ensure continued success.”

The appointments come as the company is ‘celebrating the five-year anniversary’ of its multi-asset range.

Three of the five ‘MAF’ funds were set up in November 2010, with a further two launched in February 2012.
