Aurora Investment trust has changed its name to Aurora UK Alpha plc following the proposed combination with Artemis Alpha trust.

The company is expected to begin trading under its new name starting at 8am on 5 December. There will be no changes to shares.

The proposed merger with Artemis Alpha trust was announced at the beginning of September, with Artemis winding up and transferring its assets to Aurora. Its investment objectives will remain the same, and continue to be managed by Phoenix Asset Management Partners.

Lucy Walker, chair of the company, said: “On behalf of the board we are delighted to welcome Artemis Alpha shareholders. The new name represents the company’s focus on generating long-term outperformance from a portfolio primarily focused on the UK.”
