Esfandi, who was managing director – asset management at Ashcourt Rowan, leaves with immediate effect, saying he joined the business to build an institutional investment proposition, grow the asset management division and help drive its restructuring programme.

He added that the company had moved into the next stage of its development and was “on a firm foundation” having completed its first major transaction, it was time to move on.

The exact breakdown of who will be taking over which of Esfandi’s roles and responsibilities are still to be finalised though they will be shared between David Palmer, business director, Toni Meadows, chief investment officer and Harry Burnham who joins the Board on Monday (7 October) as investment director.

Prior to Ashcourt Rowan, Esfandi was a director at Deutsche Bank for over 10 years having started his career at Goldman Sachs.

Dwyer Asset Management specialises in the property and financial sectors for a select number of clients. Its own corporate profile describes a “highly active and flexible approach to asset management and its entrepreneurial culture enables it to react swiftly to changes in market sentiment.”
