Jamie Frere-Scott arrived at the firm in February, taking up a funds director berth at its London office. He reports to chief executive officer of asset management Harry Burnham.
Frere-Scott moves over from a head of research role with Mobius Life, where he served as lead manager on Mobius’ UK fixed income and UK equity funds alongside co-managing the multi-strategy and world equity vehicles.
Prior to joining Mobius he held positions as head of fund research and portfolio manager at Investment Solutions, and portfolio analyst with Russell Investments.
Burnham said: “Jamie will further boost our central research proposition under the guidance of [chief investment officer] Toni Meadows. This hire underscores the investment taking place in our research team and enhances our offering to our clients.”
The appointment of Frere-Scott follows a busy couple of months for Ashcourt Rowan, with the firm agreeing a £97m takeover deal by Towry Finance in February and bringing in a new investment director the previous month.
