The fund will be managed by Tim Steer and co-managed by Paul Casson. The two fund managers already co-manage the £695m Artemis UK Growth Fund.

The new product has been managed by Steer since September 2009 and co-managed by Casson since April 2013. The portfolio was previously UK-focused under Steer's management. After Casson's appointment, the fund changed its objective to focus on UK and European shares from September 2013.

The fund is open to investing in companies of all sizes, but will give preference to large and medium-sized businesses. At launch, the portfolio will be biased towards domestically-focused, economically-sensitive areas.
Both managers expect consumer spending to pick up, offering up a recovery that could provide a good backdrop for businesses and encourage wage growth.

The fund was first announced in April. Initially two sterling share classes will be made available, an R class with 150bps AMC and I class with 75bps AMC. Subject to a high watermark, a performance fee will apply.
