Page was head of equities at LVAM and ran the company’s European ex UK Growth Fund that will now be run by Richard Falle.
Artemis has recruited the duo as part of plans to grow its existing European equity strategies and they will be managing focused European ex UK equity mandates for retail and institutional clients. The propositions will run alongside the Artemis European Growth Fund run by Philip Wolstencroft and Peter Saacke.
Subject to FSA approval, Artemis will launch the Artemis European Opportunities Fund that Page and Millet will run. The Ucits fund will be an unconstrained, long-only vehicle focused on their best ideas.
Page joined Schroders in 1990 as a fund manager and worked there until 2001 when he had risen through the ranks to become a director of Schroders Investment Management International and deputy head of one of their global equity teams.
The same year he joined LVAM as head of European equities.
Millet worked as an equity analyst and strategist for a number of leading French and Swiss institutions before joining LVAM as a European fund manager, working for Page.
Last month Artemis hired a new global equities team who will manage a stock picking Global Select Fund that is set to be soft-launched next month.
