Artemis has appointed Lorraine Hau (pictured) as an impact analyst.

She will join in July from Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where she was an ESG analyst.

Hau joined CT in June 2021 from the FAIRR Initiative, where she was the lead analyst delivering the Coller FAIRR Protein Producer Index, an ESG benchmark assessing the performance of global protein producers.

As part of Hau’s new role within the impact equities team, she will help to identify investment opportunities and conduct impact analysis including engagement.

Sacha El Khoury, head of impact equities at Artemis, said: “I am very pleased Lorraine is joining us as we look to build out our impact capabilities and develop the investment strategies we can offer clients.

“Clients are looking for transparent yet credible and impactful real-world outcomes, and Lorraine has a demonstrable record in these areas. Her skill set complements those of May Laghzaoui and the Stewardship team at Artemis.”

Paras Anand, Artemis CIO, added: “Hiring Lorraine to work alongside Sacha and May demonstrates our commitment to global impact equities which we and our clients believe will have an increasingly important part to play over coming years in creating the right outcomes for investors.

“Lorraine was part of the first cohort of the Diversity Project Pathway programme, which focuses on developing future female portfolio managers. So we are very pleased to be able to welcome her to Artemis, and I think this demonstrates the positive impact the programme is having in producing the next generation of fund managers.”
