Artemis appoints GAM portfolio manager for Global Select Fund

Artemis has appointed GAM portfolio manager Swetha Ramachandran (pictured) as a manager on the £290m Artemis Global Select Fund.

The asset manager said it will also plan to develop strategies aligning with her experience in global consumer sectors.

Based in London, Ramachandran will take up the role on 4 September.

She spent over a decade at GAM, where she has been lead manager of the firm’s Luxury Brands Fund since 2019. She started her career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs, while she has also held roles at ESG ratings agency Vigeo and Alliance Bernstein.

Artemis head of global equities Alex Stanić said: “This is another great hire for the team and the firm as Swetha brings a wealth of investment experience, which will make a great contribution to the outcomes we aim to achieve for our global equity clients.

 “Her experience in the consumer sectors further deepens our bench and her additional research expertise in ESG will complement the existing talent the firm has in these areas.”
