Argonaut recruits first chief operating officer

Argonaut has named its first chief operating officer as it brings its day-to-day business management

|

Earlier this month, the firm announced it is to dissolve its joint venture arrangement with Ignis Asset Management over the coming 12 months and is to take its day-to-day management in-house. To this end, it has named Edward James as its chief operating officer.

James has 15 years experience in the fund management industry, most recently as head of operations at Octopus Investments. Prior to this, he worked at Euroclear and before this he was at Gerard Asset Management as part of the management team that restructured the business to enable its sale to Barclays Wealth.

Barry Norris, a partner at Argonaut, says:  “We are delighted to appoint Edward to manage our transition process to a standalone business from Ignis. His experience, expertise and enthusiasm will be invaluable to maintaining a first class and robust operational infrastructure and ensuring best practice.”
