Newton Investment Management’s head of sustainable investing Andrew Parry is leaving to head up investments at JO Hambro Capital Management.

Parry (pictured) will join JOHCM in February 2022, also becoming a member of the executive team.

In his new role Parry will oversee JOHCM’s 14 investment teams including its responsible investment arm Regnan, as well as the trading functions based in London, New York and Singapore.

Parry moved to Newton in October 2019 from Hermes where he spent 13 years, latterly as head of responsible investing. During which he formed the asset manager’s impact opportunities team with Tim Crockford.

At the end of 2019, JOHCM acquired Hermes’ four-strong impacting investing team led by Crockford, who now heads up the Regnan equity impact solutions team.

JOHCM chief executive of UK, Europe and Asia Alexandra Altinger said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Andrew to the group. Andrew is a respected thought leader in responsible investment and his expertise will add tremendous strength to our investment capabilities, whilst driving product innovation and helping us to build our solutions capabilities for our institutional clients.”
