Wealth management firm Anderson Strathern Asset Management has hired Donald Barlow as senior investment manager.

Barlow brings with him 18 years of experience in financial services including time working on both institutional and private client business.

His former employers include Martin Currie, Clydesdale Bank’s Private Client Solutions business, Tilney Investment Management and Edinburgh Fund Managers. More recently, he was an investment writer at Standard Life Investments.

Chief executive of Anderson Strathern Alec Stewart said: “Donald has extensive private client experience and an in-depth understanding of the financial services sector and investment operations. As the success of Anderson Strathern Asset Management grows, Donald will play a key part in taking investment decisions and handling our client portfolios.
