Allianz Global Investors has hired Giles Money (pictured) from Sarasin & Partners to lead a new global sustainability, and sustainable and responsible investments (SRI) equity team.

Money will join the firm as CIO of the new team in August 2023, which will work closely with the thematic equity team led by Andreas Fruschki.

Joining from Sarasin & Partners, where he was lead portfolio manager for the J Safra Sarasin Sustainable Equity – Global Thematic strategy and co-portfolio manager for Sarasin Responsible Global Equity, Money has 18 years of investment experience and a focus on sustainable investing.

Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, he was the lead fund manager of climate change and thematic/sector funds at Schroders.
