Allianz Global Investors has announced Julian Bishop as senior portfolio manager for the Brunner Investment Trust portfolio.
The Brunner portfolio had been led by Christian Schneider on an interim basis following the departure of Matthew Tillett in July.
Bishop, who will move from his current role as global equity fund manager at Tesco Pension Investment, will join AllianzGI on 1 November.
Before joining Tesco, Bishop spent almost 10 years as an analyst and portfolio manager at Sarasin & Partners and has also held roles at Insight Investment and First State Investments.
Based in London, Bishop will report to UK equity CIO Simon Gergel (pictured).
Gergel said: “We are looking forward to Julian joining the equities team and managing the Brunner Investment Trust alongside Christian Schneider, Marcus Morris-Eyton and myself. His experience as a global portfolio manager will be invaluable to the wider team and our clients.”
