Alliance Bernstein (AB) has appointed Thomas King as UK retail sales manager, reporting to head of UK retail Lee Matthews (pictured).
King will be responsible for developing commercial relationships with intermediary partners and retail clients in the UK. He will also be tasked with developing and managing a network of retail clients and strategic relationships in London and the Channel Islands.
He joins with almost a decade of experience in the asset management industry. Most recently he was at Federated Hermes, where he was manager of wholesale sales, London and southeast.
Matthews said: “Our UK retail business has gone from strength to strength in the last few years. Even amid the highly challenging conditions that 2022 has brought, we have continued to see significant demand for our products. Thomas is ideally placed to help us meet that demand, and we look forward to the contribution he will make to the AB team and to our clients.”
AB’s now seven-strong UK retail sales team has bolstered its sustainability experience and credentials in the last three years, with key hires from Robeco and Federated Hermes added to the team.
The firm recently announced the launch of its ES Alliance Bernstein Sustainable Global Equity Oeic, the latest addition to its fast-growing six-strong Oeic range. The range, which launched in 2019, reached the $1bn AUM milestone in December 2021.
