AJ Bell has recruited James Flintoft (pictured) as a fund manager on the platform’s investment team.
He will work on a range of the firm’s offerings, including its risk-targeted solutions, funds and model portfolio service (MPS).
Flintoft joins AJ Bell after a decade at Vertem Asset Management, where he was head of portfolio management. As part of the role, Flintoft managed Vertem’s MPS proposition.
AJ Bell’s investments division grew 62% to £3.4bn assets under management in 2022, while it attracted net inflows of £443m.
Kevin Doran, managing director of AJ Bell’s D2C proposition, said: “James brings us yet more experience and expertise to the team at a time where we’re seeing lots of interest from investors and advisers in our low-cost investment solutions.”
