According to the research and data provider, Beckwith is to leave the firm next month after having decided “he is ready for a new challenge outside of Morningstar”.

Miller joins the firm from Citywire, where he was most recently head of research; he has been involved in fund analysis at the firm since 2003.

“Jonathan’s extensive knowledge of the UK market and manager research leadership experience is an excellent fit for our business,” Christopher Traulsen, Morningstar’s director of manager research, EMEA, said. “He will be a key member of our global research team and pivotal in helping shape the future direction of our investment analysis as the market continues to evolve and the needs of investors, advisers, and fund selectors change.”

It is not yet known where Beckwith is headed. Prior to joining Morningstar in 2014, he spent two years as the founder partner and CIO of London Wall Partners, five months as interim CIO at Nutmeg and almost nine years as CIO at Kleinwort Benson.
