Cliff joined M&G in January after a stint at Occam and six years at Threadneedle, where he ran Pan European funds with total assets of around £2bn.

Halle joined M&G in 1999 and became part of the European equities team in 2002, the Pan European Dividend Fund was launched in 2008.

The fund aims to deliver a dividend yield above the market average and to increase annual distributions over the long term.

It has had mixed performance, ranked in the first quartile over one year, but the fourth quartile over three years.

Meanwhile, M&G has also made a management change to its £1.2bn Managed Growth Fund, promoting Randeep Somel from deputy manager to co-fund manager.

He will work alongside Graham French who has run the fund for 15 years and his appointment "reflects the success of the working relationship he has developed with Graham French over the past six years”, according to M&G.

Somel will also continue to hold his role as deputy fund manager on the M&G Global Basics Fund.

He joined M&G in 2005 as a fund managers’ assistant and became deputy manager for both funds in 2010.
