Former head of investment management at RSM Tenon, Adrian Gough, will join the discretionary team in September 2012.
He has over 20 years of private client investment experience and was responsible for over £3bn of client assets at RSM Tenon. Gough built out the investment proposition and chaired the Asset Allocation and Fund Governance Committees in his previous role.
Meanwhile, Russell Bignall will join this month as head of national network and bank distribution having been with Standard Life Group for the last 10 years in various roles including the development of strategic relationships with the major intermediary distributor groups.
Finally, Anita Rennie start at BNY Mellon this month as head of the advisory telephone sales team.
She previously worked at Schroders as a business analyst/project manager for sales and marketing in London and Asia before moving into the sales team, to cover London and South West advisory channels.
All three will report to Scott Goodsir, managing director, head of UK wholesale. “We have carefully considered how the introduction of RDR will impact our industry and company and what the landscape of the advisory and discretionary market will look like over the coming years. We believe it is very clear that advisers will need more support from the major distributors,” he said.
