While it could not give a firm date for the pairs’ departure, Jupiter said it would be sometime before the end of the year.

Ehrmann, who has been with the firm since 2006, currently manages the Jupiter China Fund and the China Select SICAV, while Langridge has been running the Jupiter Global Emerging Markets Fund since she joined the firm in 2010.

Both managers were due to report to Ross Teverson who starts as head of strategy for global emerging markets sometime this month.

According to the press release issued at the time of Teverson’s appointment, Jupiter said: “Ross will be responsible for leading Jupiter’s highly experienced team of emerging market fund managers – Philip Ehrmann, Kathryn Langridge, Avinash Vazirani, Ben Surtees and Colin Croft – in order to attract and grow assets under management on a global basis by seeking to deliver strong, consistent, investment performance and developing appropriate products for the right audiences.”

In a statement on Monday, Jupiter said: “Philip Ehrmann and Kathryn Langridge have decided to leave Jupiter to pursue their careers elsewhere. We are sorry to see them go and wish them both well for the future.”

The firm added that plans are “in place, and will be announced shortly, for the future management of these portfolios.”
