CEO departs Schroders Private Bank

Schroders UK Private Bank has confirmed the departure of chief executive officer Rupert Robinson after 10 years at the firm.

Philip Mallinckrodt, group head of private banking, has taken over direct responsibility for the London-based private banking team.

Robinson has not revealed his next career move. He joined Schroders in 2002 from Beaumont Capital, a specialist wealth management business, starting off as managing director and head of investment within private banking.

Prior to that he worked for N.M.Rothschild & Sons for 17 years. He was a director of Rothschild Asset Management and Head of UK wealth management responsible for asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk management.
